 Hello everyone. My name is Janice Wilson Butler, your instructor for EDTC 6320. I have a high interest in the role that technology can play in educational reform, particularly in K-12 education. I look forward to teaching this course because I will be "trying out" some new technologies and new interactive projects. I am sure we will all learn from each other, too, as I know that I learn a great deal each semester from students. Hopefully, I will be hearing everyone in Wimba. |

 Hi, my name is Maria Eugenia Perez (Maru), I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Computer Science, and have been part time faculty for that same department since August 2000, I am also the owner and founder of www.sitioswwweb.com a company dedicated to developing websites and web applications. I am a mother of two, you can only see one in the picture, since I was trying to look everywhere for a picture of myself, with no success, this is the best I could do, only one kid. Janice, you have really captured my attention just with the orientation, SO MUCH TECHNOLOGY!!! it has me all excited, so Im looking forward to taking as many classes as possible from the Educational Technology Masters. |

 Hello everyone, my name is Maicela Zepeda. I currently work at the Financial Aid Office at UTB/TSC. I earned a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice in December of 2006. I hope to teach at the college level with a Masters in Educational Technology, particularly focusing in Criminal Justice. This is the first class I take in EdTech and am excited to continue my education. |

 Hello, my name is Evelyn Pecero and I'm working at the financial aid office for UT Brownsville as a financial aid officer. I have earned an Associates in Computer Information Systems and a BAT in Computer Information Systems. This will be my first class in the Ed Tech program and I look forward to it. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with this degree, but I know that I do want to earn it. |
 Hello, my name is Maria Castillo-Medellin. I graduated from UTB/TSC in December 06 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration-Management. I am currently working as a Senior Financial Aid Officer at UTB/TSC. This is my first EdTech course and so far, I have been enjoying the course! I still don't know for sure what I want to do with this degree, but hopefully, this degree will open more opportunities. |

I have been an elementary teacher for 13 years. This is my first online class. I have been looking forward to this for some time now. I am a fulltime mom to a 7 year old boy, fulltime wife, teacher and now parttime student. I hope to learn as much as I can and enjoy the journey. :) |

 Hi, my name is Marie Garza. This is my first online class and I am trying my best to not get lost. Thanks to Dr. Butler/s help and quick respones to my almost everyday questions, I am catching up. I was born and raised in Lima the capital of Peru. October 1976 I moved to Washington D.C. and worked as an interpreter for the Organization of American States until I got married and moved to Texas. In 1995 I moved from the Dallas area to Harlingen and I have been teaching at Harlingen High School South since then. My husband Juan just retired 2 years ago from teaching Biology and coaching football and soccer and is enjoying doing nature photography. I have 3 wonderful children: Monica (27), Wesley (25) and Marissa (16). I have visited a few interesting places in the world, like Machu Picchu in the high Andes Mountains of Peru. Some of my wants are: to continue to grow spiritually, making healthy decisions about exercising and food, reading Spanish Literature, travel to more interesting places in the world (Rome, Italy) and with God's help live a peacefully, healthy life. Hello everyone. My name is Martin Rodriguez, I am currently empoyed as an Acedemic Advisor. I am a graduate student at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. I have been empoyed in various offices within the University; I have worked as a Veterans Affaris advisor, as a Senior Finanical Aid Officer and I have also worked in the Scholarship area. My goal is to earn my Masters degree by Spring 2009 and then venture out into the education realm. 
Hello! My name is Liza Moreno. Well, I have decided to use a picture from my first year of teaching - four years ago. This was before the gray hair. I teach seventh grade Language Arts at Christen Middle School in Laredo, Texas. My bachelors degree was in Journalsim (Photojournalism). This is my second semester in the EDTEch program. I hope to become a Technology Trainer at LISD. This position does not require a masters degree, but I feel that a masters in Educational Technology can open up doors and offer great opportunities for advancement. My goal is to graduate by 2010 and win a million dollars. If I do not win a million dollars, atleast I have something to fall back on. I look forward to being in the class and learning new things.
Hello, I'm Carla McLain. I earned my B.B.A. in A.I.S. with minors in Accounting and C.I.S. from Baylor University. I received my teaching certification through the Alternative Certification Program offered at Education Service Center Region 12. I have taught 3rd through 6th grade for the past 14 years. This is my second semester in the masters program and I'm looking forward to it. I would like to become an Instructional Technologist and possibly teaching online college level courses.
