Hello everyone. My name is Janice Wilson Butler, your instructor for EDTC 6340. I am excited about teaching this semester. We will be using a variety of emerging technologies that offer great potential for changing the way we teach. In your role as an MTT, you will be modeling the use of emerging technologies, trying "stuff" out to see whether it work and mentoring others to begin integrating more technology into their lessons. I know that I will learn much from you and I look forward to this semester.

 CourtneyHi. My name is Courtney. I have been teaching English and Reading for six years now. I am currently department chair, Master Reading Teacher (MRT) and a 7th grade English teacher. I use technology in my classroom as often as possible. I recently became interested in Instructional Design and am very excited about starting work on my degree! 
 Hi,  am Carmen Garcia a UTB/TSC Student. I am very interesated in learning new ways to teach our students technology.

Hello my name is Rogelio Campa and my daughter Brianna Danielle Campa. One of my favorite past times (Go Cowboys!).I am a  Technology Teacher with the Donna ISD, this is my 5th year with the district.  I am here to learn from all of you as much as I can.  This is my first year with the title of Master Technology Teacher in Training.  I am in charge of 6 campuses and meet with teachers at all campuses.  I conduct different trainings such as copyright trainings, star chart and others.

Bill sees his son off to teach in Korea.My name is Bill Young. I’m registered with UTB as Robert, but I go by Bill. This is my son Robert and I at DFW sending him off to teach English in Korea for a year. I teach high school Spanish in a large 3-A school south of Abilene in West Texas. This is my first full year as a Med Tech student and I’m really enjoying it. Every time I think I have a handle on what I want to do with my degree, I take another class and all sorts of possibilities open up.

My name Becky Landa (third from left).  I live and work in San Antonio, Texas, and am currently the Director of Curriculum Management and Interim Assessments in a large urban district of 56,000 students. I have two amazing kids, a 19 year old freshman in Stanford and a 17 year high school student enrolled in a Communications Magnet High School.  My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th weddilng anniversary - time flies!  I'm excited about this course as it has relevance to some of the work I am currently undertaking in curriculum design and technology integration in the content areas using grant funding.  I am looking forward to learning from everyone!

 

My name is Miguel Molina and I am a CTE Teacher in the area of Business. I Teach at Rivera High School in BISD,  Network and Telecommunications and BCIS1.

 

I am married and have a baby girl. Probably I will show you guys alot of pictures that shows my baby and my self that not include my wife, but someone needs to take the pictures. lol

My name is Fabian Salcedo a TST (Technology Support Teacher) at Gonzalez Elementary in Brownsville.  I love my job and hope to learn a lot from all of you so I can use it at work.  I love animals and my 1st baby Sebastian who is 6 months old.  Please consider me a friend and remember you can always count on me even if it has nothing to do with school/work.  I just wanted all of you to know this is my first online course so please, help me!!!!!!!!!!  Enough about me!

 

 
My name is Aide Gonzalez.  I have been living in Brownsville, Texas for the past 22 years.  Currently, I am working with BISD as a Health Science Technology teacher.  My first experience with on-line education was with my bachelors degree from UTB and I really enjoyed the classes.  The convenience of being at home and taking care of your kids while working on your education is amazing.  I can only imagine where distance learning is going to take us.  I am especially interested in an M.Ed in Technology and MTT certificate because there are a few trained teachers in our district.  Unfournately, many teachers feel intimidated by technology and this is where I feel I can make a difference. 

Hello, my name is Ruth Ronan.  I live in El Paso. I am a UTEP student and also work at the El Paso ISD. 

 

        I have always enjoyed working with computers and technology ever since I got my first computing machine. 

 

        This course is a lot of fun.  It's one of the best decisions I have ever made, that is, doing UTB courses.
